The final performance in the Red, White, and Blue cycle by artist Xxavier Edward Carter (X______ E_____ C_____). They Don’t Dig Holes Deep Enough (White) presents process. Layered with the immediacy of making porcelain from the reclaimed material, the analogous movements call on mining practices, subjugation, and exploitation rampant in the developing world. Across the Americas, Africa, Asia, and beyond there is not a land untouched by the hands of capitalism and in its death grip the enslavement, genocide, and rapacious practices it uses to extract resources and humanity from those at the bottom of its pyramid.
